Film potrage za sudbinom napuštenih hotela u Srbiji, kroz koje nas vode bivši zaposleni. Kombinacijom vizuelno i istorijsko-narativnih elemenata, otkrivamo da se u nekada punim salama hotela još uvek kriju snažni znaci života. Dok se ove zgrade koje propadaju hrabro bore za vazduh, njihova sudbina je metafora stanja našeg društva. Da li da ih eutanaziramo, ubijemo iz milosti i skratimo im muke, ili da učinimo sve što možemo da ih vratimo u život i damo im novu svrhu? Da li bismo obnovom njihovih života vratili bar deo onoga što nam toliko danas nedostaje?
Film reaches out for the stories behind long-abandoned hotels in Serbia, told by their former employees. Through the combination of visual and historical narrative elements, we discover that once crowded premises still show signs of life. As these rotting buildings are bravely struggling for air, their destiny reveals itself as a metaphor for our society’s present state. Do we euthanize them, deliver the coup de grâce, end their miseries, or do what’s in our power to bring them back to life and give them a new sense of purpose? Would rejuvenating them bring back at least a fragment of what they used to mean to us, that we miss so much today?
