Bojan Labović
A TV and film director and scriptwriter with an MA in directing and scriptwriting from the documentary filmmaking department of the FAMU film school in Prague. His work includes documentary and docufiction films and TV series, as well as TV programmes and theatre productions. His filmography as a director and scriptwriter, or the sole auteur, includes more than 60 short and medium-length film and TV titles. The short fiction film “The Bull”, written, directed, and produced by Labović, had its world premiere in the 2019 Motovun Film Festival competition program and was selected for competition in many festivals worldwide. He also works in theatre. Since 2021 has been the director of the Festival of Slovenian Film Portorož. For his works, he has won a Grand Prix at Central European Broadcast a main prize at Cine Mundo Festival in Argentina, and a prize at the Rome Prisma Independent Film Awards.
Branko Schmidt
Born in Osijek in 1957. Obtained his BA in film and TV directing at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb in 1981. Directed the first feature film, "The Falcon Didn't Love Him", based on the text by Fabijan Šovagović, in 1988 (Debutant of the Year at the Pula Festival). Made many dramas, feature films and documentaries: "Đuka Begović", "Vukovar is Coming Back Home", "Christmas in Vienna" (Golden Arena for screenplay in 1997), "The Heart is Out of Fashion", "Queen of the Night" (Golden Arena for screenplay and production in 2021), "Watermelon Road" (Octavian and Golden Arena to actor Krešimir Mikić in 2006), "Metastases" (Pula Grand Prix and Golden Arena to actor Rene Bitorajac in 2009), "Vegetarian Cannibal" (5 Golden Arenas in 2012; Croatian candidate for Oscar; winner of FEST 2013), "Cherry Names" (two Golden Arenas 2015), "Agape", "And We Were Good to You" (Golden Arena for the 2021 screeenplay). He was president of the Association of Croatian Film Workers (1989), vice president and member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Croatian Film Directors, and a long-time member of the Croatian Audiovisual Center. Winner of the Vladimir Nazor annual award, the Order of Danica Hrvatska for culture.
Vasileios Terzopoulos
A Festival Programmer and Organizer, and a published writer. Born in 1980 (Thessaloniki, Greece), he is the Head Programmer of Short and Green International Competition of the Drama International Short Film Festival (DISFF), featuring short films addressing environmental issues, and the main Presenter of the Festival. He is also a member of the programming team of Thessaloniki International Film and Documentary Festivals and member of the Hellenic Film Academy. He has worked as a Scientific Advisor in Culture and Communication at the Ministry of Macedonia and Thrace of Greece. He holds a Bachelor and two Master degrees in the fields of International Relations, Political Science and Management, being also an Alumnus of the London School of Economics and Political Science. He wrote the script of the short film “Int. – CONTEMPLATION” that was the official trailer of this year’s 46th edition of DISFF. He has published six books for children and short stories for adults in literary magazines and websites, in Greece.
Olivera Pančić
Born in 1958 and obtained her BA from the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade. Auteur, screenwriter, and director of many documentaries and TV shows. As the editor-in-chief of the Documentary Editorial Office of the Cultural and Artistic Program of RTS, she significantly impacted documentary film as a form – from format and aesthetics to subject matter, with unquestionable freedom of choice and a consistent ethical approach. She also supported screening of many films by our well-known documentary filmmakers on national television. Auteur of over 200 documentaries, shows and series: "The Camera is Present", "Our Walkers", "Hajduks in Serbia and Yugoslavia", "Dossier About...", "Life that Kills", "On the Other Side of the Bridge", "Vagabond Children", "The Last Virgin", "The Boy Who Loved Trains"... Her works have been awarded multiple times in the country and abroad, including at the Martovski Festival.
Bratislav Zlatković
Born in 1961 in Niš. After obtaining his BA in flute from the Academy of Music in Sarajevo, became engaged in popular music. Recorded five albums with the music band Galija and one solo album, all released under the PGP-RTS label. Composes, arranges and produces music for theater, animated, documentary and feature films. Won multiple awards for his work at local and international festivals. His compositions and arrangements written for various chamber ensembles were performed at competitions and concerts in Serbia and abroad. He was the artistic director of the Nisomnija, Majska Pesma, Naissus Guitar festivals and the selector of the Niška Jesen festival. Since 1993, he has been engaged in pedagogical work. He participated in domestic and international competitions as a jury member, and his students won over 40 first prizes. He is a full professor at the Department of Chamber Music, Faculty of Arts, University of Niš.
