SELECTOR – Documentaries over 50 minutes

Jovana Nikolić is the main producer of award-winning documentaries The Undertaker (Pogrebnik), 2013, The Caviar Connection (Kavijar konekšn) 2008 and National park (Nacionalni park) 2006, and all three films premiered IDFA, Amsterdam. She obtained her PhD in management and production of documentaries in unfavorable conditions for cultural development from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. In 2017, she became an assistant professor at the Belgrade Art Academy. EAVE and Berlinale Talents alumnus.

SELECTOR – Documentaries up to 50 minutes

Iva Plemić-Divjak is a film and festival producer. She obtained her BA in film production from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade and Development of Audiovisual Heritage in Paris. She turned to documentaries as one of the producers and distributor of award winning documentary Cinema Komunisto directed by Mila Turajlić and as executive producer of the 2017 IDFA winner The Other Side of Everything (Druga strana svega). For ten years, she has been producing the Magnificent 7 – European Feature Documentary Film Festival in Belgrade. Currently she produces three films by Mladen Kovačević and is the deputy representative for Serbia in EURIMAGES.

SELECTOR – short film (national selection)

Ivan Stefanović obtained his BA in film directing from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. His films Rugalice i ubice (1994) and U nedogled  (1998) competed at the March Film Festival. Professor of Film and TV directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts (FDU) in Belgrade. Directed TV series Lift, Ono naše što nekad bejaše, Bela lađa, Cvat lipe na Balkanu, Samac u braku, Jedne letnje noći and feature films Package Arrangement (Paket aranžman) and Love Isn’t Always on Time (Kad ljubav zakasni).

SELECTOR – experimental film and video art

Marta Popivoda is a film director and video artist. She obtained her BA in film directing from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade and master’s degree in experimental film from UDK in Berlin. She initiated the Illegal Cinema project and she is the art director of the modern experimental film festival REZ. Her art work has been presented at numerous festivals and exhibitions in Serbia and worldwide (Museum of Modern Art, Belgrade; MoMA, New York; Tate Modern, London). Winner of the Academy of Arts Berlin Art Prize as well as the Edith-Russ-Haus Award for Emerging Media Artists.

SELECTOR – animated film

Iva Ćirić (1983) is an assistant at Animation Department at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade. She works in the field of illustration and film animation. Since 2014, she has been the Art Director of the Balkanima animated film festival. She made four animated films, screened at international animated film festivals and was the member of the jury and selection committee for the festivals in Hiroshima (Japan), Varna (Bulgaria), Monstra (Portugal) and Animanima in Čačak, Serbia.

Short film – international selection

Maša Nešković obtained her BA in film and TV directing from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. She directed (based on her own screenplays and as a co-director) 11 short films and 12 short and medium-length documentaries. Her films were screened and won awards at international film festivals, including the March Festival (Bez traga – winner of the prize for the best short film in national selection). Her debut feature film Asimetrija is currently in post-production.

Nenad Popović obtained his BA in film editing from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. Since 2016 he has been working as a teaching assistant in the Film Editing department at the same Faculty. Directed short documentaries. Edited short and short documentaries produced by the Centre for Visual Communications KVADRAT. Member of the Magnificent 7 – European Feature Documentary Film Festival team. Worked as the art director of the Belgrade Documentary and Short Film Festival, 63rd edition.
