"Toni Kukoč - The Magical Seven" is about a young man from Split who, with his basketball knowledge, professionalism and unique style of play, won the basketball world in the late 1980s and 1990s. In those years, Toni Kukoč became Europe's most popular basketball player and was also officially voted the best player of the old continent four times. The journey from Split, from elementary school to winning an NBA ring and sharing the locker room with the greatest basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan, is a story about growing up, fellowship, and socializing with generations that only knew about winning during those years. He played and won Olympic medals for two countries, Yugoslavia and Croatia. Regardless of his incredible sports results, what sets Toni Kukoč apart is his behavior off the field, his modesty and his sincerity. In the film, a selected number of people who were part of his career talk about Tony's basketball journey and the highlight is a conversation with Michael Jordan, who says, "Tony is my best friend from that period."

On the territory of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in the whirlwind of the Second World War, in 1943, in Pešter (Serbia), the majority Muslim population lived with the minority Orthodox. A small part of the Muslim population joined the Gestapo and supported the Germans. They decided to attack the Orthodox village of Buđevo together and burn it to the ground. Although most Muslims were against it, it happened anyway. The strongest opponent to this was Hako Duljević, an honorable man from the Pešter village of Međugor. He saved the girl Ratomirka Minić from certain death, taking her to safety in the village of Doliće. Ultimately, she reunited with her parents and lived a ripe old age. The Germans didn't forgive Hako and shot him in the back. That truth did not come to light for eighty years, and his family still suffers, especially his grandson named after him.

Chronicle about the political and moral suffering of women during the most painful totalitarian episode of Yugoslav socialism – the Cominform Resolution (1948). From Goli Otok, the mythical camp-island where disloyal Yugoslavs were re-educated, the film shifts the focus to a smaller, women's camp on the neighboring island of St. Gregory, known as Šagargur by the locals. The camp memories of Đina Markuš, one of the inmates, preserved in her memoir, blend with the testimonies of her niece Marina and the worried looks that several young Montenegrin artists send toward St. Gregory. Their feelings, reflections and imagination jointly search for an answer to the question of how more than 600 Yugoslav women, mostly young and educated communists, were silenced in the camps, and why do we still hear that silence today?

Thousands of pages of the found diary of Virgilije Nevjestić (1934-2009), one of the greatest Croatian painters and graphic artists who worked in Paris for most of his life, offer an authentic insight into this great artist's life. The man whom art critics in France considered one of their greatest graphic artists of the 20th century (he referred to himself as a drifter), left behind a large body of work, and, for the first time, his legacy lies in one place. As he had no children, the inheritor's family transferred his complete work, consisting of a large number of graphics, drawings, films and letters, to Croatia. Of humble origins, born in the Herzegovinian village of Kolo as the eighth child in a poor family, he left his mark not only on French but also on world culture.

Film selection: Mediteran Film Festival

The Festival is held in Široki Brijeg (B&H), and it is known for its unique mood – a mixture of leisure, tourism, entertainment, rhythm and films. In a short time, it became a favorite among film workers and audiences. It is one of the oldest documentary film festivals in the region, considering that only documentaries are in competition, and most of the supporting program is based on documentaries. After many registered films, the Festival selection prepares a program presenting relevant documentary productions from the Mediterranean countries. The Festival financially rewards the winners and thus helps them realize new film projects. MFF participates in the production and co-production of documentary films from the region. Film workshops with relevant lecturers, exhibitions, book presentations and concerts are organized as part of the Festival. From the beginning, the Festival has built three lines in its work: education, creation and screening of films. It takes place at the beginning of October and lasts for five days, and this year, it celebrates its jubilee: 25 years of existence.
